Anderson's own Breaking Dawnapalooza party rocked with Glen Ellyn's Prom Band. Their covers of everyone from Jimi Hendrix, to Chicago, to Rihanna kept the dance floor (err, parking lot...) adjacent to our Naperville store jumping all night! Studs Terkel in Naperville

We are saddened by the news of the passing of Studs Terkel, one of the most revered and admired, he will be missed, but his words will live on. A friend of the readers at Anderson's Bookshops, with each new book Studs and mutual friend Bill Young always made sure he got out to meet with the folks at Anderson's well into his 90's. Studs brought a gentle curiosity to everyone and everything he encountered, wrote and spoke eloquently about his discoveries, and in doing so helped enlighten us all.

In October of 1998 J.K. Rowling made her first ever visit to the Chicagoland area by visiting Anderson’s Bookshop. The event took place at 10:00am on a Monday morning.
