Into the Volcano by Don Wood October 2008

"Amazingly illustrated and amazingly told is the story of the Pugg brothers sent to a volcanic island to help their distressed auntie. The moment they arrive the action and mystery begins. A great read for that classic adventure feel. In the vain of Will Hobbs or Treasure Island. From exploring the forest, to boat rides to navigating an active volcano Don Wood makes you believe you are there and makes you want to see what's on the next page. A great read for all ages and is perfect for the young reader."

Snuff by Chuck Palahniuk May 2008

"Chuck Palahniuk does not let down, yet again. This is the story of a porn starlet determined to break the world record for the most partners at one time. The story is told from several characters points of view. Primarily from a few men waiting in line about to partake. This story is very funny and frighteningly believable. As are most of Chuck's books...."

Battle Royale by Koushun Takami August 2003

"One of my favorite graphic novel series of all time. Battle Royale takes place in Japan at an undisclosed time in the future. Once a year a seemingly random class of students is chosen to participate in "Battle Royale". The class is sent to an island and are told they all must fight to the death. At the end of three days if there is not one child left alive, the winner, everyone will be killed. To ensure this each student is fitted with a collar the explodes when a rule is broken or there is more than one student left at the end of the third day. The students are given a bag of random weapons and sent out. There are stories of love, hate, revenge and alliances all told from the point of the battling students. An amazing, bloody, gory and deep story. Two students tell there love of one another and are determined to survive the three days together, and if still alive try to change the system that has put them there. "

Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughan.

"I REALLY love Y: The Last Man. It's written by Brian K. Vaughan author of some of the best graphic novels ever, in my opinion. It is the story of Yorick Brown, a lazy slacker, who because of a disease which killed everything on earth with a Y chromosome is the last man on earth. Every issue is awesome. With about 60 issues to go through, you follow Yorick the majority of his life. Everyone will enjoy this story and illustrations "
