MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
In this accessible "keep-it-real" guide, Marley explores activism, social justice, volunteerism, equity and inclusion, and using social media for good. Drawing from her experience, Marley shows kids how they can galvanize their strengths to make positive changes in their communities, while getting support from parents, teachers, and friends to turn dreams into reality. Focusing on the importance of literacy and diversity, Marley offers suggestions on book selection, and delivers hands-on strategies for becoming a lifelong reader.

Marley will be in conversation with author Luvvie Ajayi, a New York Times-bestselling author, speaker and digital strategist who thrives at the intersection of comedy, technology, and activism.  A 14-year blogging veteran, she is the voice behind Awesomely Luvvie, a widely-respected humor blog that covers everything pop culture – from TV, movies and technology to travel, race and life’s random adventures. Her first book, I’M JUDGING YOU: The Do Better Manual, was released in September 2016 and became an instant best seller. The book is currently being developed into a series for television.
