We’re delighted to host a special event for our friend and neighbor, Luis Urrea, who celebrates the tenth NapervilleREADS season with his new book, Queen of America. It’s an epic novel of love, loss, and miracles in a restless America starring the remarkable heroine of Urrea’s The Hummingbird’s Daughter. We’re thrilled to congratulate our 2012 Adult Naperville Reads author! Free tickets for this special public event are available at Anderson’s in Naperville or at Naperville Public Library locations.

Visiting all the way from Wales is Lucy Christopher with two novels, one for young adult readers and another for middle readers. Stolen, her young adult debut, follows a kidnapped teen and her gripping story of survival. (And it’s a Printz Honor book!) Her middle grade novel is Flyaway, about a bird-loving girl and a grave accident that puts her father’s life at risk. The story focuses on her determined efforts to save him, a friend and an injured swan.
